Personal data:

Born on 26 February 1987 in Vinkovci where he finished Technical High School Ruđer Bošković, course: mechanical technician. After graduating the high school he enrolled at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod. During the study he won the Dean’s award of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty as well as the Rector’s award of the University in Osijek. Final work at the undergraduate study titled: “Stress analyses of cylindrical vessel with changeable head geometry” he made and defended under the guidance of mentor professor Dražan Kozak, Ph.D. After graduating at the undergraduate study, same year he enrolled at the graduate study, course: design and product development. Master thesis at the graduate study titled: „Car design as a new conceptual solution, CFD analysis of aerodynamics“ he made and defended under the guidance of mentor professor Dražan Kozak, Ph.D. Based on the decision of the company “Đuro Đaković Holding d.d.” he was declared as the best graduate of the university study and at the promotion ceremony he was awarded by the same company. In December 2010 he enrolled at the Ph.D. study, course: design and numerical modeling of the products. Ph.D. thesis at the Postgraduate doctoral study titled: "Determination of fracture behaviour of the pipe-ring specimen with axial crack under the influence of residual stresses" he made under the guidance of mentor professor Dražan Kozak, Ph.D. and 13th July 2016 he acquired Ph.D. degree. In 2019 he was elected as Assistant Professor at the Department for Mechanical Design. At the same Department, at the Chair for Mechanics and Strength of Materials he actively participates in the lectures on courses: Mechanics I, Mechanics II, Strength of Materials, Strength of Materials 2Numerical modeling and simulationsFinite element methodPressure equipment and pipingFracture MechanicsExperimental Mechanics.

He is author and coauthor of a certain number of scientific papers published in journals and conference proceedings. Furthermore, he is actively involved in the research projects as well as the projects in cooperation with the industry.

2013 within CEEPUS program he stayed in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

03 October 2012 – he attended to the seminar “SIMULIA 2012  FEA seminar” in Mokrice, Slovenia.

04 – 15 June 2012 he attended to the seminar „CFM & CFSI a short course in Rome“. The seminar covered topics from Computational Fluid Mechanics (CFM) and Computational Fluid Structure Interaction (CFSI).

07 – 11 November 2011 at the invitation of ANSYS Inc. company he visited the ANSYS headquarter in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

2011 within CEEPUS program he stayed in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

24 – 31 July 2010 as one of the best students from Croatia he won the scholarship of Huawei company and attended the „Huawei Summer Camp 2010“ in China (Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shanghai).

He is a member of the Croatian Society of Mechanics
He is independent user of English language in understanding, speaking and writing.
He is married and father of two kids.
