Personal data:

Tomislav ŠARIĆ received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, in 1988 and 1996, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from University of Osijek in 2002. At Mechanical Engineering Faculty he works as Full Professor. He is a member of Department for Industrial engineering.

He worked in industry (“Đuro Đakovic” Slavonski Brod) as a maintenance engineer from 1988 to 1990. In the same organisation he was Head of Informatics Department from 1990 to 1991.

He was with the Mechanical Engineering Faculty Slavonski Brod, University of Osijek, Croatia, as Assistant from 1991. 
His research interests include information system, condition monitoring, maintenance, neural networks, CNC machines and robotics. He is active participant in the education process and scientific researching since he has started his work. The work results he has published through number of papers. As an author or co-author he published over 150 scientific-research papers at Conferences and Jurnals.

He has been participant of some valuable courses: "Cost Effective Condition Based Maintenance", Manchester – United Kingdom, "Total Productive Maintenance – How to successfully install TPM in European Plant", Dubrovnik – Croatia, SKF Reliability Systems training course – "Fundamentals of Machine Condition" , Zagreb – Croatia.

During his work he has worked on vocation popularization through different courses (computer operators, computer programmers, basic informatics and other specific courses).

He is a member of the Croatian Maintenance Society, Croatian Association of Production Engineering and the Croatian Society for Robotics.
