Select combustion configuration or launch an equilibrium daemon.
Reactants (fuel and oxidizer) are premixed. Selection of a gas mixture model is required to launch the daemon.

Set up the reaction (manually) as reactants-->products in the reaction panel. The products composition is frozen during the process. In the state panel, evaluate the states of reactants and products. The combustion process executed by the mixture takes it from a unique b (beginning) state to a single f (final) state.

Fuel and oxidizer are separated by a membrane (or in two different phases). Selection of a gas mixture model is required to launch the daemon.

Set up the reaction as fuel+oxidizer-->products in the reaction panel. The reaction panel provides simple drop-down action menu for balancing reactions wtth excess/deficient air, reaction with pure oxygen, etc. In the state panel, evaluate three states - two beginning states of fuel and oxidizer and a single final state of the products. The process panel has two beginning states (bA and bB) and a single final state accordingly. Use this daemon not only for energy or entropy analysis of a combustor, but also for balancing a combustion reaction (for given products analysis, excess or deficient air, fuel analysis, etc.).

In a closed combustion process, the fuel and vapor can be premixed or separated by a membrane. For more illustrations, visit Animations>Chapter-13 page.
