He is born 1948 in Požeški Brestovac, where he finished elementary school. He finished Secondary Technical School in Pula in 1967. After that, he worked in Požega Foundry and Machine Factory as expert in technology of casting.
In 1970 he enrolled Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FMENA) in Zagreb, where he graduated in 1976. After completion of his studies, he went to work again in Požega Foundry, at first as independent technologist and finally as General Manager of the Foundry. Simultaneously with these duties, he specialized at postgraduate studies on FMENA in Zagreb, where he took his Master's Degree in 1988.
In 1991 he started to work at Mechanical engineering faculty in Slavonski Brod. He defended his doctoral theses in 1994 at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FMENA) in Zagreb. He published more than 110 scientific and specialist papers in Croatia and abroad and 3 textbook.
He undertook numerous specialized trips to many foundries all over the world. He took position of Vice-Dean for Scientific Research and Teaching of the FME in Slavonski Brod. He was Dean of the FME in Slavonski Brod in the period 1999-2003 and 2005-2007.
He speaks Germany, and use English and Russian.
